Dubai, UAE. The Sultanate of Oman, bordering the United Arab Emirates, has offered 10-day visas for tourists worth just 5 Omani rials (US $ 13) in order to support an economic diversification program and increase revenues from the hospitality industry.
The corresponding decree was issued by the Royal Police of Oman. Previously, tourists paid 20 riyals for a visa, regardless of whether they stayed in the state for 5 or 30 days. Oman issues tourist visas in three categories: for 10, 30 and 365 days.
Travel companies took the initiative enthusiastically. Innovations will support tourist demand, especially during the cool season of Kharif in the Dofar region, in the south of the country.
