In the UAE baked a cake for a million dollars in the form of an Arab bride

Debbie Wingham and Raffles Dubai made a cake for $ US 1 million for the event Bride Dubai.

Star couturier Debbie Wingham, who designed the world's most expensive dress, abaya and shoes previously exhibited at Raffles Dubai, has returned to her favorite city and hotel to create an Arab bride-shaped wedding cake for the Bride Dubai show on February 7, 2018.

Wingham, in collaboration with the talented Raffles Dubai team, led by chef Wolfgang Wagenleitner, prepared a wedding cake encrusted with five flawless two-carat diamonds worth $ US200,000 each. The whole edible and gem-stained masterpiece is valued at $ US 1 million, making it the most expensive themed wedding cake in the world.

The main ingredients for baking a cake were 20 kg of Belgian chocolate, 1000 eggs, 5000 handmade flowers with edible pearls. In the preparation of the cake, embossing, molding and even the creation of edible fabric using rice paper were used.

Wingham talks about his new job; “Diamonds are an obvious choice, and I’m constantly working to show them as inventively as possible. Since I demonstrated abaya with red diamond a few years ago at Raffles Dubai, I became a big fan of Arab culture and wanted to express it in design wedding cake. "

Known for her luxurious creations for celebrities, members of the royal family, Wingham moved from high fashion to culinary art three years ago. Fashion certainly has a big impact on her current collections. Designer's clients include Katy Perry, Kate Winslet, Justin Bieber, Drake and corporations including Fox, Discovery, BBC.

BRIDE Dubai visitors had an incredible opportunity to meet Debbie Wingham and personally see her edible diamond cake.
