UAE topped the ranking of the best for living Arab countries

The UAE is recognized as the best Arab country to live in, having been ranked among the 50 best countries of the world, according to the independent expert council of the Legatum Institute from London.

In a study of 104 countries, which together account for about 90% of the world's population, Legatum Institute experts evaluated each country for several indicators, including economic, social, security, civil liberty, public life, and attitudes towards immigrants. Finland took first place in the ranking, Zimbabwe was the last.

The emirates this year lost 19 ranking positions and took 47th place, ahead of Kuwait (52nd place), Tunisia (68th place) and Saudi Arabia (81st place). Last year, the UAE was on the 28th line.

Commenting on such a significant loss of positions, experts indicated that it is the result of more accurate measurement of indicators, rather than significant changes in them. Emirates received the highest scores in terms of safety, ahead of the United States, Britain, Germany and France, as well as in terms of tolerance to immigrants. The worst situation in the UAE is with democratic freedoms and the quality of education.
