“M Premier” company, under the patronage of the Consulate General of Russia in the United Arab Emirates, organized and held an event unforgettable for the Russian-speaking community in Dubai - an evening of Ilya Reznik, a Russian songwriter, honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts and People's Artist of Russia.
Ilya Reznik is the author of poems for the most popular hits of Russian pop stars, as well as many books for adults and children, fables and epigrams. Recently, the poet wrote texts for an opera dedicated to Russian Decembrists, which is about to see the light of day. During the evening, the presentation of a new book by Ilya Reznik "Two Stars and Other Constellations" was held.
It included poems dedicated to two hundred heroes of our time - writers, actors, directors, playwrights, entertainers, including Maya Plisetskaya, Alexander Shilov, Grigory Leps, Natasha Koroleva, Ksenia Sobchak, Tamara Gverdtsiteli and many others. Another gift for the audience was the poet’s book “Quadruple Square”, according to which, in the course of communicating with the audience, Ilya Rakhmielovich tried to “predict” the fate of each of the audience who called the number of a poem.
The evening was full of pleasant surprises and unexpected discoveries. The versatile work of the poet, his sharp humor and beautiful voice became a revelation to the Dubai public. Accompanied by a quartet of Evgeny Morozov, Ilya Reznik performed his favorite songs, and then funny ditties. In addition, the audience got a unique opportunity to hear both new and long-loved poems and poems, and even prayers that descended on the poet and, fortunately, recorded and saved by one of his friends. The program of the evening included epigrams and sharp jokes of the poet. And then the time came for an impromptu press conference. The guests of the evening could ask the poet any question directly from the audience, and at the end of the main part of the “briefing” personally communicate with the author and receive a book with a signed autograph as a gift. Ilya Reznik answered all questions with pleasure, spoke warmly and sincerely about his family, friends and colleagues. The evening was held in a cozy, friendly, almost homely atmosphere.
The concert of Ilya Reznik, which took place on the stage of The First Group Madinat Theater at the Madinat Jumeirah resort complex, was held as part of Russian Seasons, events held in Dubai over the past few years by M Premier under the direction of Evgeny Morozov.
