Airbnb service officially launched in Dubai

NEW AIRBNB SHORT-TERM RENTAL SERVICE OFFICIALLY AND LEGALLY LAUNCHED IN DUBAI.

The relevant memorandum of understanding was signed with the Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing of the emirate. Airbnb.com specializes in short-term rental advertisements, such as summer vacations. Under the new rules adopted by the department in April, homeowners can be licensed to rent out premises if they meet certain criteria. A tenant can receive a similar document, however, in this case, a letter is needed stating that there are no objections from the owner. Airbnb believes that the new service will help diversify the tourism industry and expand the choice for consumers, as well as attract new foreign guests to the emirate. The service was launched in the USA in 2008.
