Children's festival based on the tales of Korney Chukovsky was held in Abu Dhabi

On April 14, 2012, the Russian Woman’s Association, with the support of the Russian Embassy in the UAE, invited children and their parents to the Elite Music Institute music school in Abu Dhabi for the literary festival Mukha Tsokotuha.

According to the already established tradition, Alla Astanina, together with the Russian woman asset, organized an exciting and informative event for children and their parents based on the works of Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky.

The hall of the music school “Elite Music Institute” was decorated with illustrations for the tales of the writer. All drawings were specially prepared for this day by students of the art studio Elena Glazyrina, as well as children who wished to take part in the competition for the best artwork.

A surprise of the evening was the very "culprit" of the celebration - the Fly-Tsokotuha. The holiday began with a sketch based on the eponymous and most famous work by Korney Chukovsky, prepared by the children of employees of the Russian Embassy in the UAE.

Further, the young participants of the festival performed poems and excerpts from the poet’s most diverse tales. The culmination of the evening was the staging of the fairy tale "Barmaley" by the guys and their parents who came from Dubai. It is pleasant to note that children from mixed families who came from Al Ain also took part in the event.

In conclusion, the quiz "Riddles of Grandfather Korney" was held, and its winners were awarded memorable prizes. All the children who came to the holiday received gift copies of K. I. Chukovsky’s books from the organizers. And then, according to tradition, all the participants were expected to have a tea party with a variety of refreshments.

The organizers of the literary festival express their gratitude: to the director of the music school “Elite Music Institute” Marina Zamfir for the premises, as well as to the company “Majestic Promo” and personally to Vladimir and Yulia Peshikov for the wonderful growth doll Mukha-Tsokotuha made specially for this day.
