Romano & Juliet

THE GRAND OF THE FAMOUS DESIGNER NINA RICHCHI ON TIME FREE FROM CAR RACE CREATES AMAZING Niche AROMAS. AUTUMN FOUNDER OF THE PROVOCATED NAME OF FIRST JULIETTE HAS A GUN ROMANO RICHCHI PRESENTED IN DUBAI AT TWO NEW CREATIONS - OIL FICTION AND ANYWAY.

Romano, what do you represent in the market this time?

I arrived with two flavors. The first, Oil Fiction, is released in a limited edition. Anyway - non-format. The industry is full of perfumes with complex formulas, but I wanted something painfully simple. For a while I became a client who comes into the salon and faces a difficult choice of aromas. Anyway turned out refined and fresh, with citrus and floral touches on a green tone. It begins with floral notes and goes into the top notes of nutmeg. I do not quite follow the rules. In this fragrance, for example, there are no middle notes at all. This is a short formula consisting of only 15 ingredients. Anyway is an everyday accessory.

I like your romantic approach to the concept of aromas. Juliet, Shakespeare ...

Undoubtedly romance emanates from them. For example, the packaging design is not immediately apparent, but upon closer inspection, you can notice the frosted surface of the glass, very delicate and soft to the touch. Although the packaging is made of plexiglass, it does not have a cold gloss, it gives a pleasant feeling of warmth. Another highlight of the design is the logo, executed in white. I think on a white background it looks very impressive

But then who is that Juliet for whom you are trying?

This is a metaphor. In fact, any girl can be Juliet. With every new fragrance, Juliette Has a Gun helps to reveal different aspects of her character - sometimes feminine, soft, sometimes courageous, even sharp.

Not everyone knew right away that you were the grandson of Nina and Roberto Ricci!

I had a clear vision right away: I did not want to enter the world of perfumers, relying on the good name of my grandparents. I was looking for self-expression. I like the element of the game in a relationship. I create the “weapon” of temptation and give women something that helps their character to get a clear form.

Despite the fact that you grew up in a family of designers and perfumers, for several years you learned the art of creating fragrances.

It's funny, but when I was 15 years old, I vowed that I would never be a perfumer in my life. It was a boyish rebellion against the environment in which I grew up. I was 20 when I started studying, and 27 when I opened my own brand Juliette Has a Gun. It is always better to go through all the stages of career growth. Juliette Has a Gun became an expression of the provocative side of my character.

But what about car racing?

Racing is my passion. I like the focus, the technique of driving a racing car, skill, the joy of a sense of speed.

That is, you easily communicate with any car?

Of course, and this is similar to the language of perfumery. When flavor is created, technique and craftsmanship are very important. You repeat the same thing, "winding circles." Perfectionism and attention are the key to success.

Are you one of those people who use perfumes even when they get into a race car?

Oh no (laughs)! This is an exercise requiring physical effort. Sometimes the journey takes a whole day. Huge energy is spent on racing, you lose a lot of water due to the production of adrenaline.

Are there any plans to release a clothing line?

A few years ago, my sister and I created the first collection, but did not put it into production. Hope to take this seriously someday.
