Dubai authorities are introducing additional amenities when paying for parking by SMS.
Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has simplified payment for parking in the emirate via SMS. New features allow users to pay for parking without additional registration in the system.
The innovation applies to vehicles registered not only in the UAE, but also in other countries of the Persian Gulf.
If you try to pay for parking during the holidays, when, as a rule, there is no charge for this service, car owners will now receive a special notification with a proposal to confirm their intention.
Maita ben Adai, RTA CEO, explained: “A customer sending an SMS to purchase a parking ticket during the holidays will be notified that parking can be used for free. The customer will be asked to confirm their intention to purchase an electronic ticket that will be valid after the state holidays. "
