Fuel prices in the UAE will drop in July 2018

A liter of gasoline will become cheaper in the United Arab Emirates since July.

Motorists in the UAE will pay less at gas stations in July. According to a report released by the relevant committee on Thursday, gasoline will drop in price by more than two percent next month.

Starting in July, Super 98 gasoline will cost AED 2.56 ($ US 0.69), Special 95 AED 2.45 (AU $ 0.66), E Plus 91 AED 2.37 (AU $ 0.64) liter. A diesel will cost AED 2.66 ($ US 0.72).

Along with the price reduction since June 30, Adnoc Distribution stations in Abu Dhabi introduce fees for the premium service - 10 dirhams ($ US 2.7) for filling gasoline with gas station employees.

Drivers who prefer self-service, as well as older people and people with special needs, will not have to pay extra.

Prices are calculated based on international oil prices. The Fuel Prices Committee, composed of members of the Department of Energy and companies from this sector, determines prices every month.

Brent, an international oil brand, is currently trading above $ 77 a barrel, while West Texas Intermediate is more than $ 72 a barrel.
