UAE President pardons about a thousand prisoners in honor of Ramadan

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa ibn Zayed Al Nahyan issued an amnesty order for 935 people on the eve of Ramadan.

His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Ibn Zayd Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, issued an amnesty order for 935 people serving sentences on various counts in honor of the holy month of Ramadan.

Amnesty represents the president’s mercy, the leader gives prisoners the opportunity to start a new life and wants to alleviate the suffering of their families.

The UAE Moon Observation Committee will meet on Tuesday May 15 in Abu Dhabi after an evening prayer. Soon after, an announcement will be made about the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan.
