Last December, Vincent began the first phase of his large-scale work, and he recently returned to complete it. The final stage took six days. Now the Awqaf building on the Sharjah embankment is almost completely covered with its painting.

The first Middle East exhibition of Vincent Abadi Hafez was held in Dubai in 2016. For the Superplasticizer, he used cement, sand from the beaches in Dubai, water from air conditioners.

Fatma Al-Mahmoud, program and project coordinator at the Al Maraya Center for the Arts, said the mural was created because the Awqaf department decided to raise awareness of the Islamic vacuum. The mural is sponsored by Halima Al Ovays, whose grandfather Sultan bin Ali Al Ovays founded the Al Ovays Prize for artistic and cultural achievements in the Arab world.
