UAE recognized as the happiest country in the Arab world

In the ranking, dedicated to the International Day of Happiness celebrated by the United Nations, the United Arab Emirates is recognized as the happiest country in the Arab world.

On the eve of the United Arab Emirates took 20th place in the ranking of the happiest countries in the world. This year, 156 countries participated in the ranking reflecting the level of happiness of people from different parts of the world.

The rating was published on Wednesday, on the eve of UN International Day of Happiness - in 2017, the UAE rose one position from 21st place.

Finland was named the happiest country in the world, leaving behind its Scandinavian neighbors: Norway (the former leader of the list), Denmark and Iceland.

Following the UAE, the Arab country in the ranking was Qatar, located in 32nd place, slightly higher than Saudi Arabia, which ranked 33rd. Bahrain and Kuwait took 43 and 45 places respectively.

It is noteworthy that the United States dropped to 18th place, having lost four positions in the ranking.

The bottom three lines on the list were occupied by African countries: Burundi, the Central African Republic and South Sudan.

It is worth noting that Russia ranked 59th in this ranking, overtaking countries such as Cyprus, Turkey, Portugal and Croatia.
