Al Fajer Receives Middle East CEO Award for Corporate Social Responsibility

The ongoing community support of $ 10 million in charitable contributions to the Dubai Cares Campaign Fund (“Dubai cares”) and $ 5 million as its own charitable initiative to support less wealthy people led Al Fajer .

Dr. Shahram Abdullah Zadeh, General Manager of Al Fajer Properties, a major commercial real estate developer, was awarded the CEO of the Middle East Award in the Corporate Social Responsibility category. The award was presented by Her Highness Sheikh Luba Al Qashimi, Minister of Economy of the UAE, during the CEO Awards ceremony, which was held at Madinat Jumeirah.

At the ceremony of presenting the CEO of the Middle East Awards, the successes of the leaders of the 17 most dynamic, successful and promising companies in the Middle East were noted. Nominees were presented for the award through hundreds of online nominations, as well as through the voting of website visitors and respondents. The final winners were determined by a competent jury consisting of regional business leaders and analysts.

Other winners included: Etisalat Telecommunications Corporation CEO Mohammed Al Kamzi, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank CEO Irwin Knox, Jumeirah Group hotel chain CEO Gerald Lawless, Al Qudra Holding chairman Salah Al Shamsi and Lamtara Media CEO Muhammed Al Khareb.

Dr. Shahram constantly supports the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility programs at Al Fajer Properties, taking initiatives to help the most privileged sections of the local community with the most successful companies. This year, the company sent 15 million dirhams to charity as part of the Corporate Social Responsibility program and in accordance with the decree of His Highness Sheikh Hasher bin Maktum Al Maktoum, President of the Al Fajer Group of Companies.

Ten million of this amount was directed to the accounts of the Dubai Cares large-scale charity event initiated by the ruler of Dubai, Vice President and Prime Minister of the country, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and 5 million to non-privileged groups citizens through the Al Awlaa program, which provides targeted assistance to children with disabilities, single mothers, the Dubai Autism Center and other non-governmental charitable organizations.
