Shoes for real princesses

Interviewed: Elena Olkhovskaya

IF YOU SEE CINDERELLA SHOES ONLY IN A TALE FILM, DO NOT DISEASE. ALREADY VERY SOON, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO NOT ONLY LOOK AT ONE EYE, BUT AND TEST ON, EVEN IF THE SIZE OF YOUR FOOT IS ABSOLUTELY NON-ZOLUSHKIN. YOUNG, BEAUTIFUL AND UNUSUAL GIFTED PATRISIA ROSALES - DESIGNER FROM ALMERIA (SPAIN), TODAY IS A RISING STAR AMONG THE FAMOUS FOOTWEAR BRANDS ALL OVER.

Her models with the brand name - a natural pearl inlaid in the heels of each pair of shoes, on the inside, are decorated with the legs of Arab princesses and the richest ladies of Russia. Recently, Patricia flew to Dubai, where she was going to open the first single-brand boutique Patricia Rosales outside of Spain.

Patricia, when did you start creating shoes?

My career began in early childhood - already then I knew that women's shoes interest me not so much as an object of comfort or addition to clothes, but from the point of view of aesthetics, conversation without words. For me, shoes are freedom. After all, why did slaves have no shoes before, they always worked barefoot? Because, if they had shoes on them, they could immediately run away, that is, gain freedom. This is the symbol, this is the whole point of shoes. Therefore, I try to give women an interpretation of what a pair of shoes wants to tell them. This helps me to show my creative ideas, devoting the viewer to the secrets of art.

How do you see a pair of perfect women's shoes?

I try to create such models of shoes so that every woman begins to create her toilet not with dresses or jewelry, but with a pair of beautiful shoes - those that will stand out against any background with their inimitability, not being some kind of accessory for clothes, but performing only the main role. Again, I repeat, but shoes in general express the freedom of a creative flight of thought and fantasy, not fanaticism and not fetishism - namely freedom from stamps.

The second point when working on a perfect pair is convenience. There can be no compromise. When in September 2009 I opened my first showroom in Madrid, the reception of clients was carried out only by appointment.

At some point, I realized that individual tailoring of shoes for men has existed for a very long time, and no one provides women with such services. I decided that this was my niche, and created a special program with which a personalized shoe is made for each client, taking into account all the subtleties and possible defects of the foot, so that the shoes are not standard, but really comfortable and very personal.

Is it true that among your clients there are princesses and wealthy noble ladies from different countries?

Yes, I carry out orders of women from the ruling families of Saudi Arabia and Qatar, I am proud of my friendship with Natalya Romanova, a representative of the family of the last Russian emperors. Many Hollywood stars turn to me. I sew shoes for Lady Gaga and many other actresses and singers. For example, one of my first Russian clients was actress Irina Bezrukova, who put on a pair of my shoes on the “red carpet” of the Moscow International Film Festival. Often, actresses go out in Patricia Rosales shoes on the red carpet of the Goya Prize - the Spanish Oscar.

What is most important for you when working on new collections?

Extraordinary combinations of colors and materials. The soul of shoes can be expressed both with the help of one single detail, and with a number of jewelry. Anything can be used for decoration: rhinestones, feathers, fabrics, metals, precious stones, beads. I always focus on these details, which can tell a lot, if not all, about my mistress.

What can serve as a source of inspiration for you?

Everything. Myths, legends, music, travel. I have a whole collection of shoes dedicated to Russia. There is ballet, and kings, and winter. Everything is Russian! Ancient Egypt inspired me to one of the latest collections - the beauty of the queens Cleopatra and Nefertiti. I think I can turn into a pair of shoes everything that surrounds me. I see, feel, and try to share my feelings with other women.

Last question, Patricia. When are you planning to open a boutique in Dubai?

Already this fall. Now I am looking for premises and negotiating with local partners. I hope very soon all residents and guests of the UAE will be able to purchase branded shoes Patricia Rosales. Yes, and do not be afraid of prices! In the pret-a-porte collections, they are quite affordable. I know that many talk about the very high cost of my shoes. No no! Very expensive only those made to order and using precious stones. Then the price can reach 40 thousand euros. But I'm going to present shoes in my store for a wide variety of tastes and budgets. I will look forward to seeing you in it.

Thanks Patricia. And see you at the opening of the boutique.
