Founded in 1950 by the brothers Juan, Jose and Vincent Lladro, for more than 60 years of its existence, the Lladro brand has gained fame as an innovative leader in the field of porcelain casting. All sculptures are made by hand and by their artistic properties have no competitors in the world. Every step in creating a figurine, from a sketch to firing in a Moorish furnace, is done exclusively by professionals who know their job. There are no "flashy" colors characteristic of the classical European tradition. The Lladro brothers were inspired by the muffled tones of the winter landscapes of Spain, a quivering, vibrant palette of paintings by Spanish artists Sorolla and Benlier. These impressions formed the basis for the coloristic sounds of gray, beige-brown colors, an endless palette of pastel shades that perfectly match the delicacy and purity of porcelain. Artists, designers and sculptors of world renown such as Jaime Ayon, Bodo Sperline and others are involved in the work on the collections.

Many figures are made in limited series and exist in the world in only a few copies. Lladro's works are stored in the collections of the best museums in the world - in the State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg, the Royal Museum of Art and History in Brussels, the International Museum of Ceramics in Faenza, the National Museum of Ceramics in Valencia and others.

During the existence of the company, more than 5000 items were invented and released. All figures are produced in small quantities - on average, from 200 to several thousand pieces. Each figure has its own serial number and over the years it is becoming more expensive due to rarity, fragility and its originality.
