Water Park “Yas Waterworld” in Abu Dhabi opened on January 24

The new Yas Waterworld Theme Water Park opened on January 24 on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. The developers of the project were Aldar Properties and Farah Leisure Management, which also operate the Ferrari World fleet. According to the authors of the project, the new water park will offer guests some of the fastest and longest water slides in the world. Yas Waterworld Water Park is located on an area of ​​15 hectares. Its construction was carried out over two years, the amount of investment in the project, which should be returned within 15 years, amounted to 900 million dirhams (US $ 245.9 million). Currently, developers are also developing a plan for the construction of the second phase of the park. As previously reported, 43 water slides and attractions will be offered to Yas Waterworld guests, it can simultaneously accommodate up to 6 thousand people. It is expected that the rides will enjoy the greatest demand in the summer and during the school holidays.

Every day, 356 thousand liters of water are supplied to supply pools and water attractions. A team of 130 rescuers will work in the water park, ready to come to the aid of those in need within 20 seconds. It is worth recalling that, according to previously announced plans, the developer Aldar Properties will also open a new shopping complex Yas Mall on Yas Island, which will be located on an area of ​​more than 235 thousand square meters. m. It will feature more than 450 international and local brands. The opening is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2013. The complex will house IKEA hypermarket and Cheesecake Factory convenience store. On the square in front of the complex will be equipped with 10 thousand parking spaces.
