UAE takes 14th place in the ranking of the happiest countries in the world

In the World Happiness Report, the second time commissioned by the United Nations, the United Arab Emirates ranked 1st among Arab countries and 14th globally. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, commenting on the results of the study, noted that ensuring the happiness and prosperity of the country's inhabitants was and remains the main priority of the government.

Sheikh Mohammed noted that achieving high results cannot be possible without the collective efforts of employees of federal and local authorities. According to him, in the future the government will work even more efficiently to make people even happier, and the UAE - the best nation in the world.

It should be noted that Denmark was recognized as the happiest country, Togo was considered the most miserable (165th and last place). Russia took the 68th place in the ranking. At the same time, Kazakhstan holds the 57th line, Belarus - 66th, and Ukraine - 87th.

The rating criteria included: the level of GDP per capita, political freedom, social protection of the population, the level of trust in society, the absence of corruption, and others.
