Ecologists and representatives of the tourism sector of Abu Dhabi joined forces to ensure a safe rest for residents and guests of the emirate and created a guide for hotels and resorts to maintain high standards of quality of beaches and water. The standards and requirements set forth in the manual are binding on all 24 existing beach resorts in Abu Dhabi and, naturally, all that will appear in the future.
The requirements set forth in this manual are more stringent than the requirements of the international Blue Flag standard, which is a quality mark for beaches around the world.
