Art night

MARVAN RAHBHANI, A FAMOUS LEBANON DIRECTOR-CHAIRMAN, WRITER AND FURTHER ONLY IN JULY ONLY IN JULIA. WE MET IT PERSONALLY TO FIND OUT ALL THE DETAILS.

Mr. Rahbani, what will the spectator expect on February 26th at Madinat Jumeirah?

Marwan Rahbani: This night is a tribute to art. Indeed, art is universal - it is music, and theater, and ballet, and opera, and haute cuisine, and jewelry, and architecture, and even love. Everything in this life can be perceived as art. So I see this world, and so I was raised. Night of Prestige is a unique event that we present for the first time in the world in Dubai. This night we will combine all the most beautiful that is in art, in one place. You will be waiting for the red carpet, along which the original works of Salvador Dali, Rodin and Picasso will be exhibited, which we specially carry from the world's leading museums. For the first time in the Middle East, De Beers will demonstrate a precious version of the British crown encrusted with 974 diamonds, which was presented in honor of the 50th anniversary of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. She will be specially brought for this time from London and immediately after they will be taken back. Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner, during which you can hear the most famous opera hits performed by tenor and soprano. And after all, the world premiere of staging the Kiev Ballet will be waiting. Me and my friend, the great choreographer Ivan Kozlov, decided that the ballet will not perform just one piece, but will show the best moments from all the performances - The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Carmen and others, including even unique numbers from musical productions of Rahbani.

Why did you decide to show so many different directions in one event?

Marwan Rahbani: This event is primarily for everyone who loves and understands culture. I come from an artistic family of Rahbani with deep historical roots. We can say that my father and uncle were the founders of musical culture in the Middle East. And my aunt Fireuz, who had the most beautiful voice in the world, is still considered a musical legend in the Arab world. Therefore, for us, culture is not just a word. Today, living in Dubai, we believe that we need to continue to develop the world of art. I am glad that many events are taking place in the city - a film festival, the performance of world stars of classical music, the Opera House is being built. After all, it is impossible to conduct only business, without cultural support. Civilizational development has always followed this path, and Dubai certainly deserves the best productions and the most famous artists to perform here.

However, keep in mind that when people of different nationalities live in such a small country, you cannot please everyone at once. Someone loves jazz, some ballet, some opera, and some dancing. And to combine all this in one project is very, very difficult. But at least we will try.
