EXHIBITION "DEPARTURE" / DEPARTURE
The idea to open the exhibition of the Spanish sculptor Javier Mascaro - a completely new type, with emphasis on advanced technology - came to the mind of the gallery owners Warehouse421 from Abu Dhabi. The hits of the exhibition are 26 boats of various sizes made of rusty iron. At the entrance is a huge 18-meter ship made of bronze, subject to oxidation. An unusual Departure exposition presents Abu Dhabi as a port city through visual and textual elements, which, according to the artist, symbolize the sea, trade and history. The exhibition has already made a splash in the Saatchi Gallery in Londres (2014) and is now ready to conquer Abu Dhabi with a collection of drawings and art objects by Javier Mascaro, working mainly in New York and Madrid. In his work, he explores the emotions of sailors and the secrets of the deep sea, as well as the problems of mass migration in countries where people are forced to flee boats from war and poverty

MODHESH WORLD
