Tensions between US and Iran will increase airfare

Airlines of the United Arab Emirates are changing their flight routes due to the confrontation between the United States and Iran.

The largest emirate airlines - Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai and others - last week announced changes in the routes of their flights. This is due to the appeal of the UAE General Directorate of Civil Aviation (GCAA), which called on air carriers to reconsider routes due to growing tension in the region.

Part of the routes of the Emirate airlines will no longer run through Iranian airspace. Aircraft will also not fly over the Gulf of Oman, where an attack on two tankers previously occurred.

According to some experts, the changes are likely to have a negative impact on some tariffs.

Aviation expert Mark Martin, founder of Martin Consultancy, believes the closure of airspace will affect passengers traveling from Europe to Southeast Asia, Australia and the South China Sea more than anyone else. Passengers departing from Russia and the CIS countries to the Middle East will also be able to feel the changes.
