Dubai's largest indoor arena to open this year

The ruler of Dubai visited the mega-project of the new arena in anticipation of its opening.

Dubai Arena, the largest indoor arena in the Middle East and North Africa region that Meraas is building, will be fully operational this year.

On April 1, 2019, the UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, visited a new mega-project.

Dubai Arena is designed for large-scale cultural and sports events, conferences, exhibitions and festivals. The arena can accommodate up to 17 thousand people at the same time.

Dubai Arena is managed by the international company AEG Ogden, part of the Anschutz Entertainment Group, which also includes The O2 Arena in London, STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai and Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.

During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the significant role of both the public and private sectors in the development of infrastructure projects that meet the highest international standards.
