The average cost of placing an advertisement on the page of a famous blogger, or media influencer, on social networks YouTube, Instagram or Facebook in the United Arab Emirates ranges from US $ 1,000 to US $ 5,000 per publication. It should be noted that 76% of bloggers in the UAE work on a barter basis, that is, they accept products or services as payment. At the same time, 66% say they charge a fee for each video or post.

The study also showed that not all bloggers chose social networks as a source of income: for example, 67% were inspired by the idea to contribute to changing consumer habits, and 16% wanted to become popular. Only 11% of bloggers admitted that they are looking only for financial gain on social networks.

It is worth recalling that the National Media Council previously obliged all bloggers to obtain professional licenses worth US $ 4100, valid for one year. Later, a number of requirements were issued for the content of advertisements and content posted on social networks.
