Opening of Dubai hotel designed by Zaha Hadid postponed

The opening of the Dubai hotel, designed by Zaha Hadid, has been postponed until 2020.

A number of media outlets reported last week that the hotel, which was designed by the late architect Zaha Hadid, will open its doors in Dubai later this month. Enrique Ortiz, Regional Vice President of Melia Hotels International, the hotel’s operator, announced that the facility will not be launched until 2020.

Earlier this year, Omniyat developer announced that the opening of a hotel located in The Opus, in the Burj Khalifa area, has been delayed until the fourth quarter of 2019. The launch was originally scheduled for 2018.

The hotel is the only hotel project for which Zaha Hadid personally developed the interior and exterior. The project is currently being finalized by Zaha Hadid Architects.

The hotel will have 93 rooms on 19 floors.

ME by Melia hotels are known for their personalized customer service. Each guest receives an individual experience mixed with local cultural experiences.
