Another famous chef opens a restaurant in Dubai

The host of the TV show and the famous chef opens his first restaurant in Dubai.

Ariana Bundy, a well-known chef of Iranian-American descent and host of a culinary show, chose Dubai to open her first restaurant.

The Persian cuisine establishment called Ariana will be launched at The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences, a mega-project to open next year.

“The resort’s stunning design convinced me that this was the perfect time and place to open my first restaurant,” Bundy said.

Bundy noted that she faces the challenge of introducing Persian cuisine to the local audience.

Ariana Bundy is the author of a successful cookbook, producer and protagonist of the show "Persian Cuisine of Ariana", which appeared on NatGeo People in more than 40 countries.

At the restaurant, Ariana is going to cook her own specialties, such as Caspian-style kebab, sea bass, classic Persian ice cream with saffron, pistachios and rose water.

Ariana accommodates over 140 guests. There will be a demonstration kitchen in the center of the restaurant.

Martin Chung, senior vice president of international development at Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences, said: "We have very high expectations for Ariana's Persian cuisine restaurant. No one in the region has really tried to combine modern restaurant experience with real Persian cuisine."

Ariana studied at Le Cordon Bleu and Le Notre in Paris. Subsequently, she became a chef at the famous Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles.

Royal Atlantis Resort and Residences will also open next year's Jaleo restaurants from chef Jose Andrés and Dinner from British chef Heston Blumenthal.
