Dubai officially entered the top 10 most popular tourist destinations in the world, ahead of New York.
Dubai, UAE. Dubai took 7th place in the ranking of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, according to the report of the Top 100 City Destinations 2018 Report of the international research company Euromonitor International.
It is curious that 6 of the 10 major tourist destinations of the world this year are in Asia, while Hong Kong (almost 30 million tourists) and Bangkok were recognized as the most popular. Dubai, in turn, overtook New York in the ranking, as well as a number of popular destinations in Europe and America.
According to Euromonitor, the number of international tourists visiting Dubai grew by 6.2% to almost 17 million people. In the first half of the year, according to the Department of Tourism and Commercial Marketing of Dubai, the emirate was visited by more than 8 million tourists.
