Dubai police change to Russian hoverbikes

Dubai police began testing Russian-made flying hoverbikes.

Dubai, UAE. Dubai police have begun testing eVTOL flying hoverbikes created by the Russian-American startup Hoversurf. The device is a hybrid of an ATV and a motorcycle, it can accelerate to 70 km / h and stay in the air for up to 25 minutes. The cost of each hoverbike is US $ 150 thousand.

Currently, two Dubai police crews are training, who will patrol the city: they will be able to fly into hard-to-reach areas, control the criminal situation and ensure the safety of tourist groups.

According to the head of the Department for the Development of Intelligent Services of the Dubai Police, Team Leader Khalid Nasser Al-Razuki, the use of eVTOL will allow you to respond to calls much faster. Active use of hovers is planned to be organized by 2020. "To date, we already have two teams that are undergoing training with a hoverbike. In the near future, we are going to increase this number," Al Razuki said.
