Smart Police Station to be set up in Dubai's new residential area

Dubai police have agreed with the developer of a new residential community to establish a "smart" site.

Dubai police and Majid Al Futtaim signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at creating a smart police station as part of the new Tilal Al Ghaf residential project.

The document was signed by Major General Muhammad Saeed Al-Marri by the police and Havazen Esper, Director General of Community Development at Majid Al Futtaim.

Al-Marri said the smart station will provide residents with round-the-clock access to police services in an area where building a regular police station is not possible.

Dubai police opened the first police station of its kind in 2017. This is in line with the police’s plans to make access to services completely virtual by 2030.

Tilal Al Ghaf is the new flagship mixed-use community from Majid Al Futtaim in Dubai, with more than 20,000 residents.

The area covers an area of more than three million square meters. The project provides for the construction of more than 6.5 thousand residential units - apartments, townhouses and luxury villas.
