Dubai Restaurant Hires a Waiter Robot

Robot waiter serves guests in the Indian restaurant Dubai.

Burink's Drink and Spice Magics restaurant has taken a step into the future by hiring a robot waiter named Ruby. The robot moves from one table to another along a special path and serves guests.

Ruby also performs music for clients on their birthdays, anniversaries, or other special occasions.

Delivering the order to the table, the robot returns for the next task.

Arif Mohammed, managing director of 4am Group, said he was inspired by the futuristic vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president and prime minister and ruler of Dubai.

The interest of software engineer Muhammad in the hotel business began with his constant travels around the world.

“During a trip to Japan, I saw that robots already exist in every aspect of everyday life. I was interested in waiters robots, and I decided to use this concept in my new enterprise,” he said.

“In Dubai, where there are many amazing restaurants and cafes, I wanted to imagine a fusion of heritage and modernity. Automation will soon become a reality here, much faster than we can imagine, so I decided to give life to my dream here,” he said.

“Ruby is just the beginning of mixing Indian cuisine with futuristic service,” Mohammed said. “My plan is to open more than 100 restaurants in the Persian Gulf region in the next two years, because I believe in the concept of chain restaurants. My next two establishments in Dubai and Saudi Arabia will be open by October, they will have at least five to six robots and they will be equipped with unique technologies new to these markets. "
