The Dubai Traffic and Transportation Authority (RTA) has closed 40 private parking lots following an inspection campaign.
After checking private parking lots, the Dubai Traffic and Transportation Authority closed 40 parking lots.
Inspectors found that parking organizers violated the law or did not have the appropriate permits. The campaign was held in conjunction with the Dubai police.
Maifa Bin Adai, Head of the RTA Traffic Department, said: “Inspections were carried out to ensure compliance with the new rules for private parking after the end of the period provided to the organizers of car parks to reorganize their business according to the approved standards. Violators were issued warnings and, with the approval of the Dubai police, transport the funds in these parking lots were towed. "
In addition, parking owners were issued instructions to eliminate existing violations.

Also, the details of the operator, parking instructions, tariffs and contact information should be indicated. All data must be entered in the RTA system. "Parking lots should be equipped with sufficient lighting, according to the approved standards, to increase visibility at night. Parking spaces should be marked and numbered, and entry and exit should be designed in accordance with the regulations. Also, parking should be equipped with recording surveillance cameras.
