The winners of the next Dubai Duty Free lottery became dollar millionaires.
Two winners of the Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise on Tuesday were announced.
One of them was a 25-year-old Indian citizen Dhanesh Kotaramban. His prize is $ US 1 million. Kotaramban bought his first ticket a few weeks ago during a trip to Kerala for a holiday. Dhanesh lives in Dubai and works as an electrician.
He said: "I never thought I could win so much at such a young age! Thank God for this wonderful gift, and thank you, Dubai Duty Free!"
The second winner to become a millionaire is Yazan Karyauti, a 34-year-old Jordanian from Sharjah. Over the past six years, he has purchased about 70 tickets. He was glad that his perseverance finally paid off and said: "This is the second happy moment in my life! The first, of course, was when I married my beautiful wife."
