In Dubai, thanks to the Duty Free lottery and Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina, an Indian citizen has become a millionaire.
Dubai-based Indian expatriate Santhish Kumar became one million dollars richer on Tuesday by winning the Dubai Duty Free (DDF) Lottery.
He is already the 125th Indian citizen to have won a million dollars in Duty Free since the lottery launched in 1999.
The winning ticket was pulled out by Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina, a participant in the Duty Free Tennis Championships.
Tuesday was a lucky day for two more Indians who won luxury vehicles in other DDF lotteries.
A 64-year-old man from the emirate of Sharjah won the BMW 640i Gran Turismo, while another expat won the BMW S 1000 RR.
