A purple thunderstorm passed in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.
Residents of the northern emirates shared on social networks the effects of Saturday rain. The UAE National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has posted a video showing purple storm clouds. Because of this phenomenon, eyewitnesses could observe a unique purple thunderstorm.
According to NCM, unstable weather will hold out across the country. The Center for Meteorology also warns of moderate to strong gusts of wind.
Today, December 17, and Monday, heavy rain is expected in different parts of the country.
