Dubai residents will soon be able to book an ascent to the Golden Frame, which will open in the emirate in the first month of the new year.
There is another reason to look forward to the new year - residents and guests of Dubai will finally be able to visit the Dubai Frame in January 2018.
An official from the municipality of Dubai said the long-awaited attraction will be officially open to the public in January after a series of trials.
"Since the Dubai Safari opens next month in December, we will open the Dubai Frame in January to avoid the simultaneous opening of two major attractions," said Khale Al Suwayide, director of leisure facilities in the municipality of Dubai.
Thanks to the smart ticketing system, residents and visitors will be able to access the reservation using their mobile phone. Al Suwaydi warned that reservations should be made at least one hour in advance, as the tour will be composed of 20 people.
“It's just like visiting Burj Khalifa, where guests must book their tour online. Those who haven’t booked will not be able to enter if there is no room for them in the group. If there is no room, they will have to wait to join the next group "said Al Suwaydi.
Dubai Municipality recently signed an agreement with Emaar to promote the Framework based on the company's experience with Burj Khalifa. According to the agreement, the company will provide guidance on the operation of the premises and will participate in the selection, hiring, appointment and training of personnel.
A gilded frame worth 160 million dirhams ($ 43.6 million) will provide visitors with a 360-degree view of the old and new Dubai, as well as access to the 93-meter glass bridge. The rectangular structure, consisting of two 150-meter towers, connects the past and present of Dubai.
Visitors will enjoy a walk for 50 dirhams ($ 13.6) for adults and 30 dirhams ($ 8.2) for children. Free tickets will be offered for children under 3 years old, people over 60 years old and people with special needs.
