The growth in trade volumes in the free economic zones of Dubai amounted to 21% in the third quarter of this year, direct trade volumes increased by 9%, and trade from customs warehouses - by 8%. According to statistics, the economy of Dubai continues to grow, despite regional and international tensions.
In the third quarter, the volume of non-oil trade amounted to 344 billion dirhams (US $ 94 billion), while the growth compared to the same period last year was 13%. The volume of re-exports increased by 34%, to 103 billion dirhams (US $ 28.2 billion). The emirate’s economy is expected to continue to grow as the world expo EXPO 2020 approaches.
