Traditions of CHARITY

New Year's gifts from the heart

He who gives to the poor does not become poor; but he who closes his eyes to him has many curses ... (28: 27b Book of the Solomon parables)

On the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays - it's time to repay debts, both monetary and human. If last year small and big sins appear behind you, which, however, is not surprising, it is time to do something good and disinterested. God is kind and forgiving to those who bring good to the world without expecting anything in return.

On the eve of the New Year and Christmas holidays - it's time to clean the cabinets from unnecessary things, and at home - from stale trash, to enter the new year without unnecessary burden of the past year. Feng Shui experts advise against keeping garments and items that you have not been using for more than six months in bins, because this disrupts the smooth flow of the material cycle in the Universe. It is believed that there is limited space for each person and therefore the old, unnecessary scrub occupies it completely wrongfully. Be that as it may, each of us stores in home cabinets too much of what we no longer need, but neither the soul nor the simple human desire for hoarding gives up what to part with.

Thus, your home closet can become an excellent springboard for good deeds today: unnecessary things can become a long-awaited gift for a person completely unknown to you, one of those in need, who are thousands even in such a rich and prosperous country as the UAE. By doing good, even so casual and simple, you make people happy, and therefore yourself.

We invite you to do a good deed for the new 2008 year and share your things with unknown people. It’s great if it becomes a habit: unfortunately, there are still a lot of people in need on this planet. Open the cabinets, do a spring cleaning! A good criterion would be advice from Feng Shui - have not used it for six months - give it back! Honestly, sometimes it’s difficult: despite the fact that I have been doing this every month for a couple of years, it happens that even I’m cunning and still leave some things. But, as practice shows, after some time they are still poisoned in a plastic bag for the Red Crescent.

When finished with clothes and shoes, inspect the living room, nursery and kitchen. Pack everything that comes across in bags, except for overt garbage: even an old rubber band for hair or a half-bottle of shampoo can be useful for someone. It’s better if you sort the scrub initially: some charities only need certain things. However, there are those who accept everything in a row. Having collected the packages, do not forget to thank the things prepared for the return for the fact that they served you and wish their future owners good and health. However, talking with things is not necessary at all: the very fact of doing good is already weighty and positive.

There are many charitable organizations in the UAE that accept donations from the public. Usually they all work from early morning until 2-3 pm, but if you pick up things later, try to find a guard and pass them to him. If the attempts are unsuccessful, just leave the bags near the doors.

The best option would be to transfer things to charitable organizations with a wide specialization that help those in need in the UAE. Special centers for children with disabilities in the Emirates are actively sponsored by the state and large private businesses, so there is no great need for donations.

If you find things in good condition that can be sold, give them to the stores listed below: there will be more benefit, because the proceeds from their sale will be used for good purposes.

In Dubai, things are conveniently thrown into the head office, which is located in a villa in the Guseys (al-Twar) area. The villa is located at the intersection of al Nahda road and al Quseis road (the first intersection deep into Huseys from the Dubai airport Free Zone), at the corner (look for the red crescent on the roof), the main gate is from the inside. A security guard works here around the clock.
