UAE and Uzbekistan signed an agreement on economic cooperation

The United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Uzbekistan signed an agreement on economic cooperation, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding on long-term economic, trade and investment cooperation.

The cooperation agreement was signed in mid-June of this year by the UAE Minister of Economy Sultan bin Saeed Al-Mansouri and the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Uzbekistan Rustam Azimov. The memorandum of understanding was signed by Sultan Al Mansouri and the Minister of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of Uzbekistan, Eler Ganiev. On the same day, the two-day official visit of the UAE Minister of Economy Sultan AlMansuri to Uzbekistan was completed.

The protocol, signed by representatives of both countries, stipulates an addition on the mutual regime of customs duties on import and export of the UAE and Uzbekistan. The Memorandum of Understanding refers to long-term economic, trade and investment cooperation between the two countries. Accordingly, the UAE and Uzbekistan will soon exchange legislation related to trade, export, import, investment and the economy.
