Kaspersky Lab launches new anti-virus packages Internet Security 2010 and Anti-Virus 2010 in the Middle East

Kaspersky Lab, a leading developer of anti-virus software, has launched two new products on the Middle East market - Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010, a new generation of programs designed to protect home PCs.

The new products are based on revolutionary approaches, where the global monitoring of malicious activities is carried out using the security systems themselves in order to prevent the impact of malware on users' computers. Moreover, they include the benefits of state-of-the-art technologies, such as the centralized Host-based Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS), Sandbox and the innovative Kaspersky Security Network. Each of these elements protects your computer from the effects of malware in a variety of ways - from the Application Control module, which conducts a security rating of unfamiliar malware before; built-in virtualization technologies and the provision of dedicated safe time for use; using information from millions of users to automatically reduce the response time to new interpretations, and to replenish the databases with the latest information about clean and infected files.

"The versions of 2009 products that we released last summer for personal use have received the recognition of tens of millions of users from around the world, thereby demonstrating their effectiveness and reliability in hundreds of comparative tests, and becoming world market leaders. Now they are being replaced by new Kaspersky Lab products “Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2010, based on the latest developments in the field of IT security,” said Tarek Kuzbari, CEO of Kaspersky Lab Middle East.
