From Abu Dhabi to Dubai can be reached in 12 minutes already in 2021

Hyperloop One bullet train technology will begin operating in the United Arab Emirates as early as 2021, experts say.

Speaking at the annual Middle East Rail conference, Rob Lloyd, CEO of Hyperloop One, the company responsible for the upcoming launch of the bullet train in the UAE, brought to the attention of participants about the latest achievements. Taking into account the success of the company in the Nevada desert, the planned trials and plans to increase the staff from 250 to 500 people by the end of the year, Hyperloop One is ready to transport goods in a vacuum cushion train by 2020, and in 2021 passengers will be able to get from Dubai to Abu- Dhabi in 12 minutes.

According to Lloyd, in the near future a test design of Hyperloop will be tested, which weighs more than a million kilograms, and the pipe itself along which the train moves is 3.3 m in diameter.

Speaking at the conference, Lloyd also spoke about the company's vision regarding how Hyperloop One will be able to transform the future of the Gulf countries through a faster, more efficient and cleaner transport system. The Hyperloop system will ease pressure on existing infrastructure and create the potential for the Middle East to be as mobile as possible.

“The unification of the Middle East region would create greater ... concentration without overload and pollution, stimulate innovation, efficiency, job growth and a more dense exchange of knowledge, labor and investment. The creation of Hyperloop would significantly affect the economy and make any major city in the Gulf countries accessible within an hour, ”said Lloyd.

Nick Earle, Senior Vice President, Global Field Operations at Hyperloop One, said: “We have been here in Dubai for about six months and are already opening our first office in the city to be closer to the proposed construction site and establish a legal entity ... We We work closely with the RTA Dubai Road and Transport Authority to develop technology that ultimately determines how Hyperloop will function. “No other regulatory authority in the world currently has a code of practice for a fully functioning Hyperloop.”

Advantages of Hyperloop along with high transportation speed include higher safety standards than a passenger plane, almost half the operating costs than using high-speed rail, and lower energy costs.
