German automaker Audi on July 26 this year presented its new A7 Sportback model at the Munich Art Museum Pinakothek der Moderne. The four-door coupe is based on the A7 Sportback concept car, presented at the Detroit International Motor Show last year. The Audi A7 Sportback combines the sporty elegance of a coupe with the practicality of a five-door sedan.
The four-seater Audi A7 Sportback has the following parameters: 4.97 m in length, 1.91 m in width and only 1.42 m in height, which makes the car seem to be pressed to the ground, and the drag coefficient was 0.28 - the best in class. The distance between the axles is 2910 mm. Trunk volume is 535 liters, and with the rear seats folded down, free space increases to 1390 liters. The coupe is 20% aluminum, making it the lightest among its competitors. A7 Sportback perfectly protects passengers from external noise and vibration.
Audi will go on sale with four V6 engines with direct fuel injection - two gasoline and two diesel. The gasoline range opens with a 2.8-liter atmospheric unit with a capacity of 204 horsepower (280 Nm). Acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h is the slowest and takes 8.3 seconds, the maximum speed is 235 km / h, and fuel consumption will be 8 liters per 100 km in mixed mode.
The basic equipment of the novelty includes frontal airbags, side airbags for front and rear passengers, a stabilization system, light and rain sensors, xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights, alarm, climate control, heated front seats, parking sensors, an audio system with nine speakers and a 180-watt subwoofer, and a six-channel amplifier. As options will be available: rear view camera, night vision system, projection display, adaptive air suspension and 20-inch wheels.
In the Middle East region, including the United Arab Emirates, the new Audi A7 Sportback will arrive in the first quarter of 2011.
