During the congress "International Medical Tourism and World Health" in Los Angeles (USA), the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Medical Tourism Association. The signing of this document means that both parties will work together to develop the medical tourism sector in Dubai.
The Emirate of Dubai is widely known to all as one of the most popular and favorite tourist destinations in the world. In this regard, DHA will strive to further expand its health care capabilities, improve the necessary procedures and regulations that will help the emirate gain the same position in the medical tourism sector.
It should be noted that Dubai was chosen as the venue for the prestigious Regional Medical Tourism Congress, scheduled for February 2011. This congress will be held for the first time in the Middle East. According to Kadhi Saeed Al Murushid, CEO of DHA, phenomenal growth has been observed in the Dubai healthcare sector over the past few years. Medical tourism is an essential aspect of healthcare, especially in the context of today's globalization of the world.
