The first meeting of the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs (RSP), registered in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, took place at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI). on the occasion of the official establishment of the RSP and for the purpose of electing its first administrative committee, the meeting was attended by Russian businessmen and entrepreneurs from 22 companies specializing in various fields of activity in the UAE.
According to Atik Juma Nasib, director of the Department of Commercial Services at Dubai CCI, the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs has become the 39th business council registered under the auspices of the Dubai CCI. “We are confident that the RSP will provide invaluable assistance to Russian businessmen and business representatives in doing business in the UAE, and will also help strengthen trade ties and relations between Russia and the UAE in various segments of the economy of our countries,” Atik Nasib stressed during the meeting with members of the newly created RSP. “For several months, we have been working on the registration of the first Russian Council of Entrepreneurs in Dubai and the Northern Emirates. Sergey Tokarev also thanked Russian businessmen working in the United Arab Emirates, employees of the Russian Embassy in Abu Dhabi and personally Mr. Ambassador, who from the very beginning believed in the idea of creating a RSP in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, supporting this initiative.
Further, during the meeting, the legal adviser of the Dubai CCI Salahudin Al Amin explained to all those present the procedure for conducting the election of the Administrative Committee of the RSP, which corresponds to the Charter of the Russian Council of Entrepreneurs and the rules of the Dubai CCI. All Russian businessmen present at the meeting received a list of candidates for election to the RSP Administrative Committee. In an open vote, 11 candidates were elected to the RSP Administrative Committee unanimously.
At the end of the meeting, Atik Juma Nasib congratulated everyone on the official creation of the RSP in Dubai and the Northern Emirates and wished them great success in his future activities, as well as invited members of the new Russian Council of Entrepreneurs to the annual gala dinner of all business councils registered in the Dubai CCI, which will be held November 11, 2010.
