EXTERNAL GLOSS
Bright, aggressive and spectacular design, coupled with technology from the world of motorsport - all this is the new Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series 2012 model year, which arrived in the Middle East. On the serial coupe, this novelty is the least similar, most likely the car can easily be confused with a real racing car. The extended lower body with full-bumper air intakes, air vents in the bonnet leading to the heart, cooling openings in the rear wings and tires - 255/35 R 19 at the front and 285/30 R 19 at the rear, give an approximation to the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series to the world of sports. On the sides of the sedan are “skirts” with a black stripe of stucco decoration, and, of course, everywhere there are identification signs of the “black series”. All body kit components are made of carbon fiber, sports bucket seats are covered in black microfiber.
The rims painted in titanium color are made using special forging, just like for the AMG SLS model. This allows you to reduce the weight of four discs by 11 kg, compared with conventional alloy wheels installed on production models.
The rear of the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series is no less impressive. Especially striking are the four chromed ends of the tailpipes and the black diffuser between them. The wide rear bumper also has outlets for better “ventilation” and two nameplates: on the left is “C 63”, on the right is “AMG Black Series”.
UNDER THE HOOD
Not even the most knowledgeable person understands that the number “63” on the hood cover indicates one of the characteristics of the engine. The Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series is powered by a 6.3 liter V8 gasoline engine with 380 kW (517 hp) and a maximum torque of 620 Nm. According to the manufacturer, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.2 seconds. Working in conjunction with the power unit, the 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT transmission has four modes, including two “Race Start” modes for abrupt jerking, “Sport Plus” and “Manual”.
IN THE CABIN
The interior of the new Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series is made in black and gray with red stitching and maintains the overall “mood” of the sports car. Bright red seat belts are also not an unnecessary detail, perfectly decorating the interior. Judging by the amount of space in the cabin, this car is clearly intended only for the driver, and maybe one front passenger. Front mounted sports bucket seats with bright AMG logos, behind the sofa is almost completely absent.
The standard equipment of the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series includes: five airbags, seatbelt pretensioners and belt force limiters on all seats, ABS anti-lock braking system, 3-speed ESP, Headlamp Assist automatic headlight activation system, pressure control system in tires and cruise control SPEEDTRONIC.
Also included in the basic package of the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series (optional): stainless steel sills with the AMG logo; stainless steel sports pedals with rubber inserts; audio system Audio 20 CD Radio with dual tuner, color display, Bluetooth interface with speakerphone function, USB-input and 8 speakers.
The new car will go on sale in the main markets of the world in January 2012, in the branded Middle Eastern salons of Mercedes the novelty will appear in the first quarter of the coming year. It is expected that the price tag for the most powerful C-Class representative in the history of Mercedes will start from 115 thousand euros (about 575 thousand UAE dirhams).
