Super liner A380 will operate flights on the route Dubai - Moscow

The Airbus A380 Superliner will operate scheduled flights from Emirates Airline on the Dubai – Moscow route starting December 1 of this year. The 517-seat aircraft will replace its predecessor, the Boeing 777-300ER, on one of two daily flights to the Russian capital. "Since the launch of our flights to Moscow in 2003, the demand for our services has been constantly growing, and today we offer the largest passenger liner in the world to the attention of the inhabitants of the largest state in the world," said Salem Obaidalla, senior vice president of commercial flights at Emirates Airline operations in Europe and Russia.

It is worth noting that the double-decker aircraft will offer passengers 427 seats in economy class, 76 mini-coupes in business class and 14 personal seats in luxury class in the first class. “We know that Emirates passengers were very pleased with the service aboard the A380, traveling from Dubai to Bangkok, Sydney and Johannesburg. Today it has become available on the Russian market, so more people will be able to make an unforgettable flight on this magnificent airliner,” said Obaydalla. For travelers of the first and business class on the upper deck there is a relaxation area where you can have a cocktail in the company of friends during an air trip. Only for those who fly first class, there are two spas on board. In all salons of the liner you can use the entertainment system on more than 1000 channels, as well as enjoy the excellent cuisine from the chefs.

“Domodedovo” is the first and only airport in Russia that meets the requirements of the A380 operators. We are fully prepared to receive these airliners daily and have all the necessary equipment to service this particular type of aircraft. We are honored to present this exclusive product at the Russian market with our partner, "said Igor Borisov, CEO of Domodedovo Airport. The airport has purchased special equipment designed to service the A380. The telescopic ladder needed to connect the aircraft with the terminal building was delivered to Domodedovo in late April of this year.

Starting December 1, EK 131 flights, which will be operated by the liner, will depart from Dubai International Airport at 17.50 and arrive at Domodedovo Airport at 23.15 local time. The return flight will depart from Moscow at 01.05 and arrive in Dubai at 06.20.

Recall that in 2009 the largest passenger airliner made an intermediate landing at Domodedovo. At the end of March this year, the A380 made its first commercial flight to Russia - the Lufthansa airline landed for the first time at Vnukovo. A telescope is still under construction at this airport. Full service of the A380 at Vnukovo is scheduled to begin in 2013. In addition to Domodedovo, only Novosibirsk Tolmachevo has access to the regular A380.
