Dubai Ladies Masters: 5th Golf Tournament

For the fifth consecutive year, the Omega watch brand has been the title sponsor of the Dubai Ladies Masters Golf Tournament, held at Dubai's Emirates Golf Club. Traditionally, the tournament is held under the patronage of Princess Hayi Bint Al Hussein, wife of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai. It is the only Ladies European Tour (LET) women's golf tournament in the entire Middle East region.

Michelle Wie, the current representative of the Omega brand, took part in the tournament among other participants.

The first prize of the tournament is a reward of 75 thousand euros and an OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial watch with a case diameter of 34 mm, made of 18 ct red gold with a leather strap. Any golfer who takes part in the tournament and gets into the hole on the first hit will receive a prize in the form of an OMEGA Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-Axial watch: 34 mm case made of stainless steel and 18 ct red gold with a leather strap.

According to the results of the competition, the Chinese woman Shanshan Feng (the sixth number of the world ranking) won the tournament with a margin of five hits from the closest pursuer.

The 23-year-old native of Guangzhou more than successfully passed all four rounds of the competition with results of 66, 65, 67 and 67 hits and in general earned 21 hits below the “pair”. This result was the record of this seven-year tournament. The previous record was 18 hits below the “pair”. It was installed by Anika Sorenstam from Sweden and In Kyung Kim from South Korea.

The second place in the tournament with a score of 16 hits below the “pair” was taken by Devi-Clare Shrifel, who set a record for one day - 63 hits in the third round. Becky Brewerton and Carolyn Masson settled in third place with the same result 12 hits below the “pair”.
