First Middle East Coffee Museum Opens in Dubai

The first coffee museum in the Middle East will open in October in Dubai. The two-story building will collect artifacts associated with one of the oldest products, including clay coffee pots from Yemen of the 18th century, 400-year-old Ottoman-style coffee accessories, grinders and machines from Europe. In the center of the hall on the ground floor is an Egyptian silver “hearth” with charcoal, designed specifically for the museum.

All visitors will be able to familiarize themselves with the traditions of growing and preparing a traditional Bedouin drink that arrived in Arabia from Yemen and Ethiopia. On the second floor there is a library of rare manuscripts and a media center.
