Abu Dhabi plans to become a leading center for medical tourism.
Dubai, UAE. The Emirate of Abu Dhabi intends to become a leading regional destination for medical and health tourism. The relevant agreement for a period of 10 years was signed by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Abu Dhabi and the American Medical Tourism Association (MTA).
The association will promote medical tourism in Abu Dhabi in such areas as Russia, China and the Gulf countries. The organization will also open an office in the UAE capital and host the 2019 World Medical Tourism and Global Healthcare Congress.
According to the leadership of the association, joint efforts will enhance the status of the emirate as a leading center of health care. First of all, such directions as cardiology, oncology and complex examinations will be advertised.
