Dubai launches an innovative education program

The Dubai Government is launching an educational concept reformation program under the Dubai 10X project.

Dubai's Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), as part of the Dubai 10X project, an ambitious project led by the Dubai Future Fund (DFF), is launching the Rahhal program, which aims to completely revolutionize the concept of education.

Rahhal is a flexible, sustainable model available to people of all ages. This model uses all the knowledge, skills and experience that society can offer and makes them accessible to everyone.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Ibn Mohammed Ibn Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, the head of the DFF proposed a bold plan for the implementation of Dubai 10X at the 6th World Government Summit in Dubai in February 2018.

The Dubai 10X project aims to move Dubai forward by realizing today in the emirate that in other cities around the world it will be implemented in at least 10 years from now.

Sheikh Hamdan accepted 26 projects submitted by 24 departments. The selected projects were evaluated by a group of experts, a total of 160 ideas were submitted, submitted by 36 parties in a period of less than 365 days.

His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al Karam, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of KHDA, said: “The Future Fund of Dubai and the Government of Dubai under the Dubai 10X project offer a new way of thinking, which in turn will open up great opportunities for the formation and implementation of innovative ideas in all areas society’s life. "

Rahhal offers an alternative approach to education that can be adapted to the needs of each individual student. Educational content will be formed by community members: private companies, volunteer groups, etc. The program will be implemented with the support of employers, program participants will be guaranteed jobs where they can translate the acquired innovative knowledge into practice.
