One of the versions of the classical ballet Swan Lake will decorate the stage of the Dubai Opera in October 2018.
One of the world's most popular Swan Lake ballets will be staged on the stage of the Dubai Opera performed by the Houston Ballet in partnership with Van Cleef & Arpels and accompanied by a live orchestra from October 24 to 27, 2018.
Swan Lake has fascinated viewers around the world for over 100 years, thanks to its relevance of the story of good and evil, intertwined with love and tragedy.
The ballet was first performed in Moscow in 1877. It tells the story of Odette, a beautiful girl who turns into a swan.
“Swan Lake” is a ballet masterpiece and one of the most popular works by the audience, ”said Jasper Hope, executive director of Dubai Opera.
"I am pleased to announce that the Houston Ballet will transfer its brilliant presentation of this timeless story to the Dubai stage in October, accompanied, of course, by Tchaikovsky's incredible music performed by a live orchestra," he added.
