Citizens of Russia and Kazakhstan helped the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah break a tourist record.
Dubai, UAE. The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah set a record for the tourist flow - it amounted to 12% in 10 months of this year. Thus, the emirate is as close as possible to its goal - to attract 900 thousand tourists a year.
The key tourism markets for Ras Al Khaimah are, in particular, Russia and Kazakhstan. The emirate’s tourism department welcomed the return of Russians to the winter holidays. So, this year the number of tourists from Russia increased by 65%.
Growth was noted for all key indicators - both in terms of hotel occupancy, in the number of nights, and in the length of stay. In 2018, the emirate expects to attract one million tourists. 4445 hotel rooms will be additionally commissioned next year.
